The University of Nebraska-Lincoln News Team is the chief newsgathering and public-relations arm at Nebraska, creating and editing a number of online and print products to tell the university's story.
The News Team curates the university's central communications hub, Nebraska Today, and develops written and visual content to communicate with key audiences how Nebraska is carrying out its missions of research, teaching and outreach. The team also gathers, edits and circulates information about campus to internal and outside audiences through news releases, online and print publications, photos, video, the Nebraska Today e-newsletter and social media.
The News team answers media queries and links local, regional and national news reporters with expert university sources who can share their world-class expertise in the newspaper, on TV or in online news publications. The News team also coordinates internal communications with an eye toward the interests of the university's faculty, staff and students.
