Our Marks

These are the official marks of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The Nebraska N is the primary identifier of the University and must be used in all visual communication. The wordmark must be used in all stationery materials as specified by the University of Nebraska central administration. More details about stationery materials can be found at the Nebraska.edu website.

Incorrect Versions - Campus Icon*

Don’t remove the white outline or print on a color background without it*

When you can't print in 2-c on a dark background, fill the white outline with the icon color.**

* The outline should always be white, except in light metal and other select merchandise items where it could be transparent.
** The registration mark has a white fill for most applications within a color background, but that can be removed on 1-c jobs.

Our Seal

Literis Dedicata et Omnibus Artibus

The seal of the University is not the official University of Nebraska–Lincoln logo or campus icon. Designed by our first chancellor, Allen R. Benton, it is today the primary graphic identifier for the University of Nebraska system, rather than the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. It is the only official seal for the University of Nebraska, as approved by the Board of Regents. The seal can be used on formal documents and certificates, but it cannot be changed in any way. It may be printed in black, a screen of black, or foil stamped.

Note

Departments, colleges and other units of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln should use the Nebraska N as a main identifier, not the University seal, on all publications, invitations, websites and other electronic media.
