UNL’s latest national television spot highlights the enduring impacts of the UNL brand in the hearts and minds of students, alumni and Nebraskans everywhere.
The Challenge
In a television and digital media environment rich with distractions — particularly during TV commercial breaks — how do we engage our wide-ranging athletics audiences and distinguish ourselves from other universities?
The Solution
In an effort to separate ourselves from typical higher ed advertisements, we sought to create an emotional, Nebraska-specific TV spot that appealed to the enduring sense of pride, tradition and deeply rooted identifications toward the university and its brand that all Nebraskans feel.
Outcome
In “Home Again,” the timeless words of UNL alum Johnny Carson carry us through a series of scenes that demonstrate how, in ways big and small, the university positively affects all those who have ever called Nebraska home. From campus visits to launching small businesses or generating robotic innovations, UNL is home to enduring memories and lasting impacts.
